Sayounara 2015

Welp, thats it. Another year gone by in the blink of an eye. They weren't lying when they said the older you get the faster time seems to slip away. I mean gosh, I'm only 23 and it already feels like this??? Whats it gunna be like when I'm 60? Anyway, I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Years!!! My sister and her husband had a get together with family and friends for New Years which was fun. I only had one drink that was ehh. I am not that much into alcohol cause 1. I don't usually like the taste of it, and 2. it makes me sleepy and I can be a light weight soooo yeah.  Its gotta be the hella tasty frufru crap for me to like it. My little sister Emma and I ended up staying up till 4 playing Mario Kart and Hyrule Warriors though, cause thats how we roll. XD Without further ado here is my end of year
 "what I've been into".

Star Wars baby!! Thats all I can say. My dad and I had a marathon of watching all 6 SW movies and we literally finished the 6th one right before going to see the new one. I don't want to spoil it for any super fans out there so all I will say is that I really enjoyed it and would PAY to see it again.  And after watching all of them again I have been in such a SW mood and want MORE!! Which we know there probably will be. I also saw Mockingjay: Part 2 for my lil sisters birthday. I didn't read the books but I felt it ended pretty good. I really enjoyed watching this series of movies.  Also saw Paper Towns which I am not a big fan of the main girl that goes missing, but overall I enjoyed the movie and liked that it was different from your typical "love-esk" story. Studio Ghibli had a new movie come out called When Marnie Was There which I finally got a chance to see and thought it was really good like most of SG films. It wasn't my favorite but still worth seeing. And I rewatched an old favorite of mine, Rodger and Hammerstein's Cinderella (1997) which is the one with Brandy and Whitney Houston. I love the music in it and grew up watching it all the time and it had been to long.
In anime watching news I finished wathcing Noragami 2, Owari no Seraph 2, Dance with Devils, and Diabolik Lovers 2. There are so many other animes I didn't get to this fall season, but are patiently waiting on my never-ending list of animes to watch/finish. Other animes I watched are Zankyou no Terror and I rewatched Btoom! and Golden Time. Fairy Tail I am still behind on in the anime, but the manga!!! OMG! I can't! Finally stuff is coming out and....I don't know if I am ready. haha.
I am very excited for winter animes and can't wait to start watching some!!!

So for Christmas I got a the Nerdy Nummies Cookbook which I am super excited to start making some treats from!!! Another book I had to buy myself is The Amazing Book is Not on Fire, because one thing you should know about me is that I love Dan and of course I am gunna support him by buying his book and I also enjoy some of Phils videos too. It LITERALLY ;) is an awesome book. I loved they way they laid everything out and it really represents their personalities. These books are the start to my YouTube book collection. I want to also get PewdiePies, Michelle Phans and a few others and then display them proudly. :D

Lets not waste any time and lets get it poppin. XD KPOP ladies and gents. Its the shizzz. I have listened to Kpop for a long time, about as long as I have watched anime. So I am all about Kpop and Kdramas (although Kdramas take me FOREVER to get through. Each ep is an HR long!). I think this is the first time me mentioning Kpop so I shall list a few favorites: BTS, Seventeen, Got7, EXO, BIGBANG, Girls Generation, 2NE1, Royal Pirates and so many more. Many people argue that whats the point of listening to something that you don't understand the language of??? I am just like psssshhhhttttttt. EXSQUEEZE me...lol. To me most of the time I like a song for the beat or sound/ melody etc. regardless of language. If the words just happen to go along with something I can relate to or are feeling thats a bonus. So when I listen to Kpop its not really about what they are saying. Do I freak like a little girl and go gaga when they do sing in english, oh HELL yeah. But thats not what makes me love them. Theses groups got the beat, the voice, the moves...and OMG the guys. SO HAWTTT!!!! I just LOVE Kpop. So right now what I have been really diggin is BTS: The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 1 & 2 album. Seventeen and Ailee's song "Q&A". My favorite member is Vernon! he is such a cutie and reminds me and many others of a little Leonardo Dicaprio. Aside from Kpop I also have been loving all of P!ATD's new singles and The 1975's singles. Troye Sivans deluxe Blue Neighborhood album was release and I love like all the songs!!! So happy for him and how far he has come! I look forward to Ari's new album and more from
  Tori Kelly this year!!!

That about wraps it up. I don't have any noms to talk about except my Wheat Belly thing totally flew out the door. Damn holiday noms of deliciousness ruin everything. Like I'm gunna forgo oreo truffles, or other fatty carbs of joy. Joy is part of Christmas so I was only contributing to the holiday by enJOYing the food. :P Thanks for reading and stoping by. Hope everyone has a great start to this new year and hope all your wildest dreams come true.;)

Goodbye, October.

I know, I know...its a little late to be posting this but whatever lol.
Its bittersweet this year for me, for Halloween to be over. Usually I am already like super ready to be in the Christmas spirit. Its coming slowly this year though. I generally feel like the sooner we start listening to Christmas music and getting into that mood the longer it lasts. But yeah I haven't put up any of Christmas stuff yet. However I have heard Christmas music on the radio and a bunch of stores have their holiday signs up. So I think next week or so I am gunna start putting my stuff up.

Anywho I did have a very good Halloween. I hope you guys did as well!! My little collage I made up above kind of shows whats been going on for me in the month of October.
I think I am going to do this for every month.

~ Style ~
I dyed my hair (from bottom right photo to top left photo). I also gave it a cut and added layers all done by muah! I was very happy with myself for not hacking it up...haha. I went for a more purply color and I love it! It kind of is like a red, magenta, purple color depending on the light. And I dyed it about 2 weeks ago and it still looks pretty good! My super faded red with hella brown roots grown out was not doing it for me anymore. Changing my hair is always a nice feel good boost.

So for Halloween I had a little party with my family and dressed up as a witch. I used my Twilight Yellow contacts which really helped up the freaky factor. I followed a makeup tutorial for this eye makeup on YouTube if you want to check it out. It was by a girl named: Merbabe Aurora

I am always on the hunt for new music. And love checking out new releases on Spotify. Although I had know and was waiting for Ariana's new song to come out!! I really like her new song "Focus". The video was beautifully done and I love the colors and OMG her hair!!! Its most definitely a wig, but its sure is a BOMB-ass wig that I want. XD The only thing I don't necessarily love about the song which, just about everyone feels the same, is the dude saying "Focus on MEH!". I read somewhere that someone said it is Jamie Fox. Its ok and I'm used to it but I was kind of hoping she would break away form this thing with having random dudes in her song ie. "...it's the RASCALS..." as said in her very first album by some randoms. I really hope on her new album she mixes it up a little, like does something acoustic or more soul/blues. Anyway enough ranting on that...other music I've listened to this month is Tori Kelly!!! Who absolutely is my favorite female artist! She just released another single called "Hollow" which is amazing as well as the video(lyric and official). She also has a song on this new album called We Love Disney that has a bunch of stars singing classic Disney songs. Tori did "Colors Of The Wind" which gave me all kinds of feels! There are a couple other amazing songs on that album. I would recommend checking out! I also have been loving Sam Smith's couple of new songs, Adele's "Hello", Troye Sivan's "TALK ME DOWN" freakin love all of Troye's newest songs can't wait for his album! P!ATD - "Victorious", The 1975 WHO is finally FREAKIN back, "Love Me". And some songs from 5SOS's new album are pretty good.

Mainly this section will have what anime I have been watching and manga I've read. Occasionally some actual TV as well as movies and some YouTube stuff. So for October I have been watching a lot of ongoing series. One being Noragami: Aragoto which I am soooo happy its back! I LOVE MY SHIP Yatori!!! Also been keeping up with: Fairy Tail (mainly the manga...I really need to watch the anime I behind by like 10 episodes...its not like I don't know what happens tho/ I for real need some NALU moments to happen), Owari No Seraph: Battle in Nagoya, Diabolik Lovers: More Blood (second season of Diabolik Lovers which is really good but the episodes are only like 4 mins long, WAH!), and Dance with Devils (basically like Uta No Prince Sama). I re-watched Psycho Pass cause its sooo good and it has been awhile. I also re-watched The Wedding Singer because I love that movie and love Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler movies lol. As far as Halloween movies go I didn't really watch that many. I caught Hocus Pocus on tv a lot at different parts, watched Sweeney Todd again, and also sadly some of Twilight that I also caught on TV lol. But it was Breaking Dawn:Part 2 which I felt was the best out of all. As far as YouTube...I had like 73 videos that I had saved to my watch later. Finally caught up, it was a combination of lots of PewDiePie, CutiePieMarzia, DanandPhillGames, Kalel, PrankVsPrank, Nerdy Nummies, Kurt Hugo Schneider, Ryan Higa, and a bunch others I can't remember.

~ Noms ~
I recently started this "diet" or what I like to say just, new way for eating healthy, Wheat Belly. It essentially is giving up all and any starch, gluten, wheat, corn, grain and sugar. And let me tell you it is hard!! I've been doing it for 2 weeks and I definitely feel more awake and like I have more energy. My parents are currently doing this plan as well cause giving up wheat is good for the heart. Which heart problems run in our family. And I am just doing it cause for some reason that I couldn't tell you, I decided to do this and have been sticking to it so I'm going with it. I've just mainly have been wanting to have a better eating lifestyle and as a bonus hopefully loose some weight. I can't say my weight has changed mainly because I still have been having real sugar. CANDY is the end of me!!! But thats the ONLY bad thing I have been eating. I love KitKats. They're my favorite candy and of course right before I started to go on this plan I had bought a lot of Kit Kats for my Halloween Party. They all didn't get ate so I had like a whole bag left over as well as Starbursts. I wasn't go be rid of them...I bought them so I'm gunna eat them. haha...and I did. Through all of this I think I lost maybe 2lbs. Now that all the candy is gone...I am never gunna by candy again, at least not the kind with wheat or real sugar. You would be surprised how many things wheat is in and just like sugar as a ton of different weird names, wheat does too. So I will post back after eating more strictly and sticking to the plan.

From reading the Wheat Belly book I have learned there is something in wheat that makes us want to eat food all the time. Like someone who feels like they can't fill the void and that definitely describes me. I feel like I am never fully satisfied until I'm about to burst which is NOT good. Since starting Wheat Belly, I actually don't feel hungry as often a satisfied with smaller meals. I do however for sure notice when I am hungry. So I eat keeping portions in mind cause that is always a helping factor and I only eat what I portion out. This has been a task to say the least. I never realized how much wheat I consumed once I gave it up. I mean it was in everything, as well as sugar. Finding ways to replace those things is also a challenge. Instead of wheat flour we use almond flour. For a "foe bread" recipe we use a combo of almond flour,  and golden flaxseed ( a really good fiber that also helps with making things move along as they're suppose to). For a sweetener we use Swerve which is like real sugar but doesn't effect us like real sugar would. Swerve sugar uses Erythritol which is a natural microorganism found in honeycombs that breaks down the glucose and yields erythritol (got from website lol). It also naturally produces in fruits and vegetables. The only thing that does bother some is that it has a cooling sensation that you will feel, kind of like when you have a mint. Especially if you drink water right after you will feel it and your water will taste sweet. I have come to get used to it and I try to lessen the amount a recipe will call for so its not too bad. Just like real sugar, again watch the amount and portions. You don't want to over consume. Mainly stick to meats, eggs, lots of veggies, some fruits (still want to be careful, even though fruits have a natural sugar its still not good to consume tons of ex. strawberries) greek yogurt(Fage), unsweetened almond milk etc. Some fruits are better than others, I eat almost 1 apple a day. If you are more interested here is the a link to the Wheat Belly website. Sorry I talked a lot about this but this has been a BIG change to my life. I will probably have more posts on this as well as share some recipes that my mom and I have come up with. All in all I still feel happy with this change and I am going to continue with it.

I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween and are also enjoying November so far! Super excited for the Mocking Jay Part 2 to come out! The lovely Danisnotonfire (Dan Howell) actually posted a video on YT interviewing (sort of) Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth. I was sooo proud and happy for him!! It was a really funny video too. Anyways bye bye for now!!!
YAY for November and setting our clocks back 1 hour and it being cold cause I love the cold!!

Twilight Yellow Contact Lenses Review

Hiya! Today I am going to do a contact lenses review. I got theses a couple months ago for my cosplay and was really happy with how they turned out. I will show you the cosplay I wore them with as well as how I plan to use them for Halloween.

{Review}
Site: LensVillage
Color: VASSEN Twilight Yellow
Size: 15mm
My eye color: Dark Brown
Price: $23 + $12 expedited shipping

When the lenses first arrived they come in 2 little tiny jars, one lenses for each eye. You also get a free cute little animal case to put/store them in. I got a cute pinky/peach hippo case! :3

Here is how they look once I put them in the case. I forgot to take pictures of them in the little jar, but its pretty easy to visualize. So, as you can see they are very bright and exactly what I wanted.

{Me cosplaying as girl version Sesshomaru from an anime called Inuyasha. I cosplayed this at Matsuricon 2015.}
Here is another option you could use these contacts for. I got them so might as well wear them why they last. It is said contact lenses only last for 1 year but the sites recommend people only wear them 3-6 months. Here is my witchy inspired makeup without the contacts so you can see my normal eye color.
And here is the witch look with contacts. I think it really amps it up and looks creepy awesome! I think these contacts will also work well for a werwolf or anime character, Edward Elric from FullMetal Alchemist. It just adds a little more detail to any cosplay.

Let me tell you, sometimes finding lenses that show up over dark brown eyes isn't always the easiest. Most of the time they look too light which sometimes is a good thing if they blend right in with my eye and just make them look bigger. However for certain characters that have bright vibrant colored eyes I want something that has a very thick color. I guess really what makes it hard is when you find one, but their aren't reviews or pictures of them on people who have actually purchased them. Some sites will show like a model wearing them and most of the time the color doesn't look right and need more pictures to really know for sure. It all depends on what you are wanting to wear them for {cosplay/everyday wear/lolita etc}. I know lots of people do reviews now, but there isn't always one for every lenses {at least not listed on the site}. LensVillage {site I got contacts from} had 1 link for these contact lenses I got of one other person wearing them. So if you find one you like, try googling a review for that particular lenses first whether it be on a blog like this, or a YouTube video so you can actually see a person wearing them and then determine if they're right for you. I did this for these even though there was 1 other link I still wasn't sold. I found a video of this girl talking about them and showing them up close to the camera. Its not in english but that doesn't really matter since I am watching for the contacts.{Watch Video} Lenses don't come cheap and if they're not super close to what you want it could cost you more money buying more than what you originally wanted too. Not saying that some lenses sites won't possibly try and negotiate a way to give you your money back or something but who really wants to go through all that hassel.

LensVillage was super fast on shipping mainly because I paid and extra $12 for expedited shipping cause I ordered them sort of late and was afraid they wouldn't arrive on time. If I remember right I think I got it within like 10 days though. Other sites I have order from have taken as long as almost 3 weeks. So again its good to make sure you order the right ones the first time, especially if you hate waiting.

Overall I definitely recommend these contacts and website. They are really comfortable, and I experienced no discomfort wearing them. The only thing if anything is my eyes feel tired if I wear them for long periods of time which I believe to be the case with anybody. I would have eye drops on hand while walking around at a con or where ever to keep your eyes hydrated. I hope you enjoyed this review! Thanks for reading, happy cosplaying!!
